Accommodation Ladder:

An accommodation ladder is used when the passenger get on or off the ship. This product is working by using the power plant of the electricity, air, etc... It classifies the generally three types of VERTICAL STOWING TYPE, 180 TURN OVER TYPE and HORIZONTAL STOWING TYPE according to the stowing method of the ladder and they are decided by the ship ′s shape or the owner ′s request. This product has many cases that must get the ship ′s class or the authority according to the condition of the ship's navigation.

General Description:

Material:Extruded aluminium alloy and steel

Surface finishing:aluminium part to be finished with aluminium color by maker’s practice. Steel part to be hot dip galvanized or aluminium color coating.

Construction:

1) Nominal length (L): 5 m - 30 m
2) Standard breadth (B): 600 mm
3) Nominal inclination: 55 degrees (NMD : 50 degrees)
4) Winch operation: Electric or Air Source.

Three different types available:

1. VERTICAL STOWING TYPE
2. HORIZONTAL STOWING TYPE
3. TURN-OVER STOWING TYPE

1. VERTICAL STOWING TYPE

TORQUE TUBE LADDER SYSTEM

  • This equipment has wire from any torsional strain to the ladder in its stowing by means of TORQUE TUBE connected to davit arm and upper platform.
  • Ladder of 5 to 13 meters length is effective in this type. Automatically operated and stowed at vertical position.
  • Either electric source or air motor is available as power source for operation.

PILOT PLATFORM LADDER SYSTEM

  • A pilot platform, fitted with a trap-door and a conventional pilot ladder, is attached to the lower end of an accommodation ladder, this platform is always horizontal, hanging in 4 wires.
  • Pilot climbs through the trap-door an to the horizontal platform without dangerous transferring between the accommodation ladder and the pilot ladder.
  • Lights can be fitted on the platform for a safe pilot access at night.
  • Either electric or air power source can be used for winch operation.

PILOT ACCESS LADDER SYSTEM

  • This is specially designed for safe and convenient pilot access with combination of an accommodation ladder and a conventional pilot ladder.
  • Automatically lowered, hoisted and stowed with high safety.
  • Either electric or air power source can be used for winch operation.

TELESCOPIC LADDER SYSTEM

  • This ladder system is a telescopic type specially designed for application to a narrow storage space. A forced movement by wiring assures smooth slide of upper and lower ladders.
  • Hoisting, telescopic motion and stowing can be carried out automatically by a single operation for smooth vertical stowing.
  • Either electric or air motor is available as power source for operation.

HORIZONTAL STOWING TYPE

SIDE ROLLING TRACKWAY LADDER SYSTEM

  • This ladder equipment is designed for large-scaled ships.
  • Both ends of the ladder can be simultaneously stowed in parallel by the rails provided under davit and upper platform.
  • The ladder can be smoothly and automatically lowered, hoisted and stowed by simple operation of a lever of control stand provided at a ship side.
  • Either electric or air power source can be used for winch operation.

PILOT PLATFORM LADDER SYSTEM

  • The ladder is horizontally stowed in paralleled along the rail installed under davit and upper platform.
  • A pilot platform, fitted with a trap-door and a conventional pilot ladder, is attached to the lower end of an accommodation ladder. This platform is always horizontal, hanging in 4 wires.
  • Pilot climbs through the trap-door an to the horizontal platform without dangerous transferring between the accommodation ladder and the pilot ladder.
  • Lights can be fitted on the platform for a safe pilot access at night.
  • Either electric or air power source can be used for winch operation.

3. TURN-OVER STOWING TYPE

180° TURN-OVER TYPE SYSTEM

  • The wire arrangement is simple and minimizes time for lowering and hoisting the ladder.
  • Any torsional stain to the ladder in stowing can be completely absorbed by torque tube connected to davit arm and upper platform.
  • The ladder is free from being damaged or washed overboard on a voyage as it is stowed into the coffin as illustrated above.
  • Each of two wires for lowering and hoisting are self-sustaining, which ensures high reliability.
  • Either electric or air power source can be used for winch operation.

PILOT PLATFORM LADDER SYSTEM

  • 180° rotating storage type side ladder
  • It is a device that minimizes the time for raising and lowering the ladder and makes the arrangement of wire ropes simple.
  • When the ladder is stored, it is twisted, and it is completely absorbed by the torque tube (spindle pipe) connected to the davit and the upper platform.
  • It is stored in a coffin (storage box), there is no case of falling or being damaged by severe waves during voyage.
  • It is a very safe device as the two wires independently support each other for raising and lowering the ladder.
  • Either electric or air power source can be used for winch operation.

Wharf Ladder:

DECK PLATE STEP TYPE

This ladder is effective for ships of small slant ladder and ship(-30~0~30). Two section type can be used for long size ladder. (Upper section and lower section are separated in stock.)

CURVED STEP TYPE

This ladder uses curved step of Accommodation ladder and Normal inclination of ladder for pier and ship to be 55 degrees to horizontal. Above ladder is made of anti-corrosive aluminium alloy. Any length of ladder is available on customer’s request.

Pilot Rope Ladder Reel:

Gangway

This ladder is used for the harbour where the difference of the ebb and flow of the tide is big. It is consisted with two big parts such as fork-lift, hydraulic device and ladder part. It is operated by pneumatic cylinder.

The top and bottom height is adjusted by the strong motor operation that is used for boarding/ leaving the boat. It consists of aluminium parts and steel parts.

It is operated by remote control device with using electric motor.
